We agree to keep undead Alabaster, and the curse, close to our chest
We stash the scrolls at our keep, and go back to the Cemetery with the goal of getting something off Brother Duncan
We repair the broken handle of the door that leads to the room Duncan is in.
We investigate the body of Duncan, and Ash picks up the dragon statue.
Ash immediately feels a pull of something inside her towards the dragon
Dragon statue can store something inside it
We investigate tomb further, look inside Alabasters tomb and is just a corpse
We head back to the temple to talk to Father Bellows
On the way, Ash attunes to the dragon statuette and tries it on Indigo
Indigo feels his life force being sucked away, and yells STOP
Dragon statuette apparently syphons your life, and is also tied to the curse! Eek!
Duncan's parents were killed by cult members - Bellows tried to keep him away from cultists
Friends with Revan (informant) - probably knows more about Duncan - We go to talk to him at the Drowned Drunkard (Svel tavern)
Walk in, it's rowdy,as usual. Edith spots a dwarf from Svel eyeing up Genesis. Edith shoots him a look to stop staring. Dwarf looks at Edith, winks, so she gives him the finger. It backfires, but at least the attention is off Genesis
We get drinks, and head downstairs to find Revan
We discover Revan can detect thoughts. He tells us:
Duncan had a run in with a cultist - the cultist was Hera - they had a scuffle, and Duncan took the dragon statuette off Hera.
He went back to the temple to find out what Hera was doing
Revan gives us insight:
fix the curse (go to Svel)
cultists are poking their nose around the temple (Hera was from the Capital)
we have scrolls we need to know (The Grand Arcanium - in Gol)
recommends getting guild quests to open doors
"How's things in Gol?" - things are getting worse - abominations in the North, Mana fields are erratic, things are getting worse over all
We close the bar, eat a scone, and head to bed
In the morning, we accept a quest that will take us to Gol (a rogue wizard tome)
We pack up, grabbing scrolls, and head to the docks to commandeer a ship - we find The Wave Breaker
